All alumni of St. Charles Preparatory School are deemed members of the "Association" which provides service to St. Charles by helping the school in four essential areas:

A. Ambassadorial service: Members of the Association promote the school to friends, neighbors, and their colleagues. This includes opportunities to speak to parents and young men about the wonderful opportunities available at St. Charles.

B. Social Activities: The Association fosters goodwill among all alumni of St. Charles Preparatory School by volunteering at school functions and organizing alumni social events, with special emphasis on encouraging alumni to become re-acquainted with their alma mater. Such activities would include Homecoming, the St. Charles Spaghetti Dinner, the Father/Son Mass and Breakfast, and the annual Alumni Open golf outing.

C. Financial support: The Association supports the mission of Bishop James Hartley, that any boy wishing to attend St. Charles should be admitted regardless of his family’s ability to pay. The Association and all its members are encouraged to support the school financially during each Annual and Capital Campaigns; to help build endowments; donate a gift from your company to our annual Silent Auction or other charity event.

D. Support the school administration: To provide guidance from an alumni perspective on relevant school issues; to help maintain the alumni database and leadership rosters by creating instruments to collect updated alumni information; to contribute to school publications, like the Cardinal magazine, by contributing articles and information to update alumni and friends of Association events and activities.

--The St. Charles Mothers Club: Long-time contributors to St. Charles Success

Student and alumni mothers have contributed in many ways
to the success of St. Charles since the school's establishment
in 1923. The first women's organization at St. Charles was the Stagecrafters Mothers' Club, which was known originally as the "Stagecrafters Associates." It was organized in 1945 in support
of the school's theatrical productions by Monsignor Joseph A. Cousins, four years after the Campus Theater was completed.

Today, the Mothers Club remains involved in many important activities at St. Charles. One of those is the school's annual Cardinal Christmas Silent Auction and Dinner. Several others include: two "faculty appreciation" luncheons, the annual Open House each November, putting on a '"Craft Night" and the Mother & Son Dinner Dance.

STUDENT ACTIVITIES

Winter Drama Department production:
The St. Charles Drama Department is proud
to announce it will present the Columbus and Central Ohio premiere of Elephant’s Graveyard by George Brant. The drama will be presented February 23, 24 & 25 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, February 26 at 3:00 p.m. in the Campus Theatre. Adult tickets are $10 each, and student tickets are $5 each. Reservations may be placed by calling the school's main office at 614/252-6714 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Elephant’s Graveyard is the true tale of the tragic collision of a struggling circus and a tiny town in
Tennessee, which resulted in the only known lynching of an elephant. Set in September of
