2014 Combined Class Reunion 8-29/31 for the Classes of ’59, ’64 (Golden), ’69, ’74, ’79, ’84, ’89 (Silver), ’94, ’99, ’04 and ’09; “Save-the-Date” Card Mailed May 5th
The 2014 Combined Class Reunion Celebration will be held August 29, 30 & 31, 2014 for the Classes of ’59, ’64 (Golden), ’69, ’74, ’79, ’84, ’89 (Silver), ’94,’99, ’04 and ’09.
On May 5th, Alumni director Louis J. Fabro ’83 mailed “Save-the-Date” postcards to members of the 11 classes participating in the late-August combined reunion weekend. The cards outline the official school-sponsored activities of the weekend as well as the preliminary plans for each class’ private couples Saturday night gathering.
Currently efforts are underway to locate lost classmates and update e-mail and mailing addresses of classmates for the Official ‘Final Details/Reservation’ mailing in late June.
St. Charles will host the following activities as part of the 2014 Summer Reunion Celebration:
— Friday night, August 29th all reunion alumni are invited to the weekend’s main event: The All-Classes Stag “Beer-n-Brats” gathering (Cost is $25) from 6:00 – 11:00 p.m. in the Robert C. Walter Student Commons. As part of the festivities, attendees will also be provided tickets to the Cardinal’s home football game that night (7:30 p.m. kick-off) just a few feet away at Walt Plank Field. Earlier in the evening class photos will be taken and Principal Jim Lower will give a “State of the School” update.
— On Saturday, August 30th there will be a morning bike ride along the Alum Creek Bike Trail at 9:00 a.m., a campus tour from 3:00 – 4:15 p.m. and an All-Classes Mass in Mother of Mercy Chapel at 4:30 p.m. for alumni & spouses/guests. Afterward, classes will hold private dinner gatherings if they wish to meet.
— On Sunday, August 31st the school’s Alumni Association will sponsor the annual St. Charles Alumni Golf Outing (Cost is $85) at Riviera Golf Club in Dublin at 1:30 p.m. and reunion alumni are encouraged to participate in class foursomes.
Each class will organize its own private activities around these collective events. This will allow several formal and informal opportunities to meet with your classmates to reminisce about special teachers, deceased friends, and the athletic and academic challenges and triumphs you overcame and celebrated together as classmates.
The Class of 1954 will concelebrate its 60-year reunion on campus with Aquinas College High School’s Class of 1954 on Saturday, August 16, 2014.
