Father/Son Mass & Breakfast on 4/29 Another Great Success

Our thanks to all those who helped make the 2017 Father/Son Mass & Breakfast a great success on Saturday, April 29th.

The event is a wonderful way for alumni fathers, uncles, and grandfathers to celebrate their St. Charles experience and introduce young sons and grandsons to the school! We also welcome and encourage current students, incoming freshmen and any other interested 6th, 7th or 8th graders, to attend, along with their fathers, grandfathers and uncles.

The gathering began with Mass in Mother of Mercy Chapel with celebrant Fr. Bill Arnold ’70, pastor of Holy Spirit and St. Phillips parishes. He was assisted by Deacon Marion Smithberger ’72 of St. Timothy parish and Deacon Frank Iannarino ’71 of St. Brigid of Kildare parish. Special thanks to St. Charles Sacristan Sr. Margaret Hoffman and organist Christopher Walker’19 for their help with the morning’;s liturgy.

A buffet breakfast catered by Bob Selhorst’s ’74 Bosc + Brie followed in the Robert C. Walter Student Commons. Alumnus Michael Kelley ’03, recent recipient of the “2017 Community Service Award for Attorneys 40 and Under 40” from the Ohio State Bar Foundation, spoke to the assembled guests.
