Annapolis Wonderful Backdrop For Alumni Camaraderie
On Saturday, September 30th, members of the St. Charles administration and staff traveled from Columbus to the beautiful and historic city of Annapolis, MD, to hold a regional alumni gathering.
It was the school’s 5th such event of its kind this year to go along with those held in Charlotte (May 6), Cleveland (May 25), Chicago (June 9) and Cincinnati (July 23). Plans are in the works to take the “Carolian Cavalcade” to Florida in March.
Our sincere thanks to 1986 alumnus, John Crabtree, who generously hosted the group at his local establishment, the Acme Bar & Grill, located in downtown’s historic district. John made all feel welcome with his special brand of hospitality which included uninterrupted supplies of cold refreshments and hot food. He surprised his fellow Carolians by loudly playing the St. Charles “Alma Mater” over the sound system — highly perplexing the local tourists, Naval Academy students and parents and locals, until those grads in attendance joined in singing proudly.
