Alumni Cavalcade Makes Return Voyage to Annapolis

After its successful maiden voyage last year, the St. Charles Alumni Cavalcade Principal Jim Lower and staff members from the Alumni and Development Office made a return trip to Annapolis, MD, on Saturday, September 29th.

St. Charles extends its deepest thanks to 1986 alumnus, John Crabtree, who generously hosted fellow Carolians at his local establishment, the Acme Bar & Grill, located in downtown’s historic district with both the United States Naval Academy and Chesapeake Bay just two blocks away.

Unparalleled as a host, John created a special reception area for the group with a buffet of tasty appetizers. His staff made sure no one was without a cold refreshment. Principal Jim Lower shared the latest update on the great things going on at St. Charles: the academic and athletic successes of the students, the opening of a new Robotics & Mentoring Center and the kick-off of The Vision for the Future campaign. The event was capped off watching The Ohio State Football Buckeyes fight back to defeat Penn State in a cliffhanger. Our thanks also to Mrs. Margaret Crabtree, John’s mother, for providing the Columbus group comfortable overnight accommodations and breakfast the next morning!
