St. Charles was excited to build on the success of Cardinal Madness in January 2020 and to be able to welcome 75 Future Cardinals and their families to school on Tuesday December 7th. Students and their families enjoyed an evening of food and fellowship in the Walter Student Commons before heading to the Gym to cheer on the Cardinals as they battled the Eagles of New Albany High School.
St. Charles invited boys in the 5th-8th grades (and their families) from all over Central Ohio to the event to learn more about the school and get to meet with some of our students, faculty, and staff. It also offered the opportunity for the boys to meet new friends and future classmates and a chance for families to learn more about the St. Charles experience.
Principal Jim Lower lead the group in prayer and spoke for a few moments about the benefits of a St. Charles education. He then sent the boys off to the basketball game and provided a chance for parents to have questions about St. Charles answered and continue to socialize in the Commons.
The event would not have been such a success without the efforts of many people. Those integral in the evening included Jim Lower (Principal); Sam Binnig ’10 (Director of Admissions); Rick Ey ’94 ( Dean of Students, faculty member); Dave Lawler ’80 ( Athletic Director); Ned Gruber (Dean of Learning Formation, faculty member, Head Volleyball Coach); Deke Hocker (Varsity football coach, faculty member); Ray Benjamin (Head Baseball Coach); Tracy Loesing (Finance Manager); Sal Mercado (Registrar, Finance Assistant); Travis Nixon (Community Relations); Jaime Lawler (SC Mom) and numerous St. Charles parent volunteers.
Thank you again to all our guests. We hope to see many of you again at more of our upcoming events.
