Alumni director Louis J. It is scheduled for September 4, 5 and 6, 2015 for the Classes of 1965, 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005 and 2010.

On Friday night, September 4, all reunion alumni are invited to the weekend’s main event: The All-Classes Stag “Beer-n-Brats” gathering from 6:00 – 11:00 p.m. in the Robert C. Walter Student Commons. On Saturday, September 5, there will be a morning bike ride along the Alum Creek Bike Trail at 9:00 a.m., a campus tour from 3:00 – 4:15 p.m. and an All-Classes Mass in Mother of Mercy Chapel at 4:30 p.m. for alumni & spouses/guests. (Each committee will be given a copy of their classmates’ responses to this survey). Volunteers play a vital role in making the weekend event a success!

A general committee meeting will be held in mid-January (date TBD). If you would like to represent your class, please contact Louis by e-mail at lfabro@cdeducation.org or by phone at 614-252-9288 ext. 21
— ’14-’15 Annual Fund; Consider making a year-end tax-deductible gift —

The 2014-2015Annual Fund goal is to raise $1.6 million from St. Charles alumni, friends, parents of current students and parents of alumni. The school is blessed this year with the leadership of Alumni Fund chairman Alex Loehrer of the Class of 1994 and of Parents Fund Chairpersons Chuck and Jojo Strickler.

The gifts given to the Alumni and Friends phases of the Annual Fund will help the school provide scholarships for needy students, support for recruitment and retention programs, and funding for the school’s daily operating expenses.

You have the ability to designate the specific way you would like your gift to be used: For the Alumni Fund you can direct it to a specific scholarship or endowment; for faculty retention; school operations; or for principal Lower to put toward the school’s “Area of Greatest Need.”

Gifts given to the Parents Annual Fund will be used for preserving the artistic features of our Holy Angels Library, especially through the restoration of the historically significant and inspiring stained glass windows, wall and ceiling tapestries, and painted Frescoes. Proceeds from this effort will also be used to update the stadium lighting at Walt Plank Field and for enhancements to our Campus landscaping.

A heartfelt thank-you to all who have made a gift thus far and also to those who are considering Annual Fund support! If you would like to make a gift online, please go to www.stcharlesprep.org/01_support/gift_online_sc.php

WP: Ben Sugar scored six goals including two in the second overtime to lead the St. Charles Preparatory School Water Polo Team (25-12-2) to its second consecutive state championship and its fourth title in five seasons as the top-seeded Cardinals defeated Mason 15-14 on Oct. 25 in the state final at Ohio Wesleyan. Sam Aslaner had two goals including a score that tied the game at 13 with 59 seconds left in regulation. The teams did not score in the first three-minute overtime. The Cardinals outscored Mason 2-1 in the second three-minute overtime. Noah Miller scored three times for the Cardinals and Nick Ward had two goals. Stuart Decker and Sam Smith scored one goal apiece. Jack Lumpe had 14 saves in goal. Mason led 7-1 after one quarter and 7-3 at halftime. The Comets led 10-7 after three. “We went down early, but we never really felt like we were out of it,” head coach Geoff Gear said. “We didn’t play horribly, but some of our shots didn’t fall early and (Mason) took advantage of some things to take the lead. We kept telling the boys that there was a lot of time left in the game.”

The Cardinals finished as runner’s-up to Cincinnati Moeller in the 2014 Division I Ohio State High School Golf Tournament on October 19th at The Ohio State University’s par-71 Scarlet Course. The Crusaders shot a 636, with St. Charles and Upper Arlington (645) finishing nine strokes behind. The Cardinals were awarded the second-place trophy over U.A. based on a fifth-man tiebreaker over each round. – Drama Department to present The Best Christmas Pageant Ever and Striking 12
The Best Christmas Pageant Ever and Striking 12, an exciting new holiday musical. These shows will be presented Thursday, Friday, & Saturday, November 20, 21, & 22 at 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, November 23 in the St. Charles Campus Theatre. Adult tickets are $10 each, and student tickets are $5 each. Reservations may be placed by calling the St. Charles main office at 614/252-6714 between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m.

The Best Christmas Pageant Ever is an American classic – one of the best Christmas stories ever -and certainly one of the funniest. Some of you may remember our 2008 production of Striking 12 – the national high school premiere. Striking 12 is inspired, in part, by Hans Christian Andersen’s, “The Little Match Girl,” and tells the story of a grumpy, overworked New Yorker who resolves to spend New Year’s Eve alone in his apartment when an unexpected visitor brings some much-needed cheer. The evening springs to life through an eclectic score that combines pop, rock, jazz, show tunes, and more. We hope you can join us for this unique holiday production.

– Volleyball team sponsoring Annual Honeybaked Ham Sale with home Delivery
The volleyball team is conducting the annual HoneyBaked Ham Sale. We offer the same products and charge the same prices as the HoneyBaked Ham retail stores, but we deliver the hams and turkeys right to your doorstep at no additional cost to you. Why wait in long lines to purchase your Christmas meal? Remove the hassle. Keep the great taste.

The volleyball program receives 15% of the total sales. The money we earn goes directly to pay for the expenses of our season, including equipment and facility maintenance, referee fees, tournament entry dues, and travel costs. This fundraiser helps to lower the pay-to-play fee for each volleyball player. We earn through no extra cost to you because the prices are the same as in the store, and we deliver for free.

There are three ways to participate:

1. Purchase gift certificates. Gift certificates earn us the same 15% revenue as regular orders. We are able to process and mail gift certificates even before the corporate and personal delivery dates. If you want to help the volleyball team but do not usually purchase a ham or turkey for Christmas, order gift certificates in preparation for another event. The gift certificates have a two year expiration date and are available in any denomination. Date for gift certificates: Orders must be received by Friday, December 5. Gift certificates are mailed immediately after payment is received and processed. We are not able to deliver gift certificates during the corporate or personal delivery days.

2. Make a corporate order. Do you own or work for a company that offers its employees a Christmas gift? If so, consider giving HoneyBaked products or gift certificates to your employees. Again, you pay the same price as retail, and we will deliver the hams or turkeys to your business. We will mail gift certificates immediately after payment is received and processed. We are not able to deliver gift certificates during the corporate delivery days.

Date for corporate delivery: Orders must be received by Friday, December 5, 2014. We will deliver to businesses on Friday, December 19, 2014.

3. Make a personal order. This option is the most common. Select the items you want for your Christmas meal and return your order form and payment to the school office. We take care of the rest.
