— *Cincinnati-area Alumni to gather with Principal,School Reps 7/19 at Reds vs. Indians game; Grads Gathered in Cleveland/Akron May 2nd —

Attendees representing seven decades of graduates were on hand at a Saturday evening gathering on May 2nd at the Summit Mall’s Bravo! Cucina Italiana Restaurant in Fairlawn, Ohio. The St. Charles sponsored gathering of alumni living in the Cleveland and Akron areas attracted graduates that spanned the Class of 1952 through the Class of 2014. Principal Jim Lower provided a “State/Future of the School” presentation to the assembled group, which also included St. Charles Advisory Board members, teacher/coaches, and members of the school’s Development Office.

In addition to a wonderful selection of hours d’oeuvres, those on hand were treated to an extraordinary six-course menu specially created just for the evening by the restaurant’s executive chef. A very special “Thank-You!” goes out to 1985 graduate Mike Creedon, who as a District Partner with the Bravo Brio Restaurant Group, provided the location as well as the delicious food and spirits enjoyed by all.

*THIS SUMMER, St. Charles WILL ALSO HOST a gathering for alumni living in the Cincinnati area.

A group of school administrators, faculty/coaches, staff and Advisory Board members will travel to the Queen City to watch the Reds play the Cleveland Indians. The fun takes place on Sunday, July 19th and the school has secured (just like last year) private use of the PPG Paints Patio with its magnificent views of the stadium/field. If you’d like to receive an invitation or more information regarding this Cincinnati gathering, you are invited to contact Development Officer Michael Welsch at mwelsch@cdeducation.org.

— ’Tis the Season for Graduations, Weddings and Awards!! Tell us about YOURS–and send a photo– so we can share them in SC’s June Facebook Post: “What’s New(s) with St. Charles Alumni?” —

St. Charles alumni director Louis J. Fabro ’83 is looking for items to post in the “June” installment of “What’s New(s) with St. Charles Alumni?” on the St. Charles Facebook page. Visit the post at: https://www.facebook.com/stcharlespreparatoryschool

Our goal by adding this monthly post is to share fun, positive and inspiring alumni updates and photos in a more timely manner as “the Cardinal” alumni magazine is only published once a year. We’ll keep our eyes open here at school… but Louis invites and encourages alumni, parents and friends to e-mail him at lfabro@cdeducation.org with photos and items you learn about military deployments, a work promotion or recognition, career move or accomplishment, a wedding or the birth of a child, a well-earned retirement, a son’s first job out of college, a classmate’s recognition for service to his church and community…we want to hear about it and share it with everyone else!

So contact Louis and keep your eyes open for June’s “What’s New(s)…”
