The Learning Formation Team:

  • schedules weekly tutoring appointments with students and supervises National Honor Society
  • peer tutoring sessions in the Learning Center (Students are able to track their schedule on PowerSchool.);
  • coordinates with teachers to space out large assessments to maintain a more manageable testing load for students on any one date;
  • helps students track due dates and prepare in advance for larger assessments (tests, papers, unit quizzes).

In addition to the tutoring provided by the members of the Learning Formation Team, National Honor Society peer tutoring also occurs at the Learning Formation Center before and after school, during students’ study halls, and during the enrichment period.

The Learning Formation Center is open before and after school for student printing, basic technology support, and scheduled tutoring. The Center is not a spot to “hang out” before or after school; rather, students come with an appointment or with a specific brief reason for their visit.  Access to the Center for subject-specific adult tutoring and NHS tutoring is by appointment.  The appointment must be made through a member of the Learning Formation Team.
