Golf Team Finishes 5th in State

Congratulations to the St. Charles Golf Team that finished 5th in the 2022 OHSAA Division I State Golf Tournament.
It was the best finish of any other Central Ohio DI team. Well done Leo Walling ‘24, Jonas Borland ‘25, Ted Cahill ‘24, Will Mooney ’23, Beckham Martin ’26 and coach Brian Unk!

The Cardinals won their 15th consecutive CCL championship and their first district title since 2016 before finishing fifth in the state tournament held Oct. 21 and 22 at Ohio State’s Scarlet Course.

St. Charles shot 641 to finish fifth of 12 teams behind champion Cleveland St. Ignatius (610), the best finish by a central Ohio team. Dublin Jerome was seventh (645) and Upper Arlington was eighth (653).
The Cardinals and Whitehouse Anthony Wayne both totaled 641, but the fifth score of 166 by junior Ted Cahill (tied for 47th of 72 participants) was better than the fifth score of 169 (tied for 51st) from the Generals.
