Scholarship and Aid

St. Charles was founded in 1923 with the mission to serve all families in central Ohio seeking a Catholic all-boys college preparatory education. Today, we are still committed to assisting families financially to make a St. Charles education a reality. Each year, our students receive over 1.8 million dollars in scholarship and tuition assistance from the St. Charles Endowment Fund and our generous benefactors. This fund is generously supported by our many alumni, families, and friends. Below are the scholarship and financial assistance avenues available to prospective families:

List of 5 items.

  • Academic Scholarships

Each year, St. Charles offers a scholarship test to incoming freshmen. This year the scholarship test will be administered on January 27, 2024 ( Walter Commons 9:00am -12:00pm and 1:00pm-4:00pm)

There are several four-year scholarships and one-year scholarships awarded based on the results of this national assessment.  The assessment covers general knowledge of middle school subjects.
  • Charism Scholarships

These awards are grants for students who have exemplified the values of our school or qualities of the school's patron saint, Saint Charles Borromeo, in their daily lives. Students will come to St. Charles to write their essay during one of two dates: January 24 (6:00pm-7:00pm Cavello Center), January 27 (Cavello 12:00pm-1:00pm and 4:00pm-5:00pm)

This opportunity will award a minimum of one grant to a student from each Catholic parish in central Ohio.  Grants are up to $2,000. Students must apply prior to participating.
