Having been cancelled last year due to the pandemic, the St. Charles Spaghetti Dinner made a triumphant return on Sunday afternoon, February 6th, in the school’s Robert C. Walter Student Commons. Attendees enjoyed a great meal hosted by the St. Charles Alumni Association with the help of an army of volunteers and the expert assistance of Berwick Party House and the Susi family. Guests who dined in-house enjoyed a bountiful meal of spaghetti with meatball, salad, rolls, ice cream and a beverage at a family-friendly price…all while being entertained for two hours by the St. Charles Jazz Ensemble. Carry-out meals were also very popular on the cold day. While all proceeds from the dinner go toward supporting student financial aid, a special 50/50 raffle was also held throughout the day, thanks to annual dedicated effort of once special person: Katy Ryan Paolini. Katy spent the entire time visiting with guests at their tables inviting them to “take a chance” and support student financial aid at the school. The lucky winners of the $600 raffle drawing were the owners of Dublin Cleaners who generously donated back half of the winnings to the school.
Thanks to all who were able to join us!
