SC Golf Team DI State Runner-Ups
Congratulations to the St. Charles Golf Team which finished as Division I State Runner-Ups at the two-day Division I State Tournament at Firestone Country Club in Akron on October 13.
The Cardinals fought back to finish just two shots behind Dublin Jerome and 18 shots better than third-place Cleveland St. Ignatius.
After the final round, St. Charles coach Brian Unk said “I am happy for Jerome. They have a great program. Our boys fought hard. We had a tough start yesterday and a tough middle of the round today, but I am proud of their effort. ... At one point today, we were 12 shots back and came back and cut it to two. It was a good season.”
